Joey Kramer

2009년에는 회고록 《Hit Hard: A Story of Hitting Rock Bottom at the Top》을 출간하여 그의 고난과 승리를 자세히 다뤘습니다.

2009년, 그는 회고록 《Hit Hard: A Story of Hitting Rock Bottom at the Top》을 출간했습니다.

The affectionate moniker "The Kramedog" serves as an unofficial badge of honor for Joey Kramer's most dedicated followers, a term popularized by bandmate Joe Perry and now cemented as a specific term of endearment within the Aerosmith community. While the broader fanbase is often called the "Aerosmith Army," Kramer's loyalists operate with a fierce protectiveness over his legacy, particularly regarding his recent exclusion from the band's farewell tour. This narrative has sparked intense online discourse where fans debate the medical necessity of his retirement versus potential band politics, effectively keeping his story in the public eye even as he steps back from the stage. The organization of this fandom remains informal yet deeply structured around enduring loyalty rather than specific campaigns, with supporters viewing his absence as a tragic injustice rather than a voluntary departure.

In the realm of global celebrity metrics, Joey Kramer is currently evaluated by the iFANN Global Fame Engine but does not hold a placement in the published rankings. He is not ranked among the Global Top 1,000 or any specific Top-100 scope list at this time. Despite this lack of a numeric position in the current hierarchy, his status as a foundational rock figure remains undeniable to those who track the evolution of hard rock history. The scale of his influence spans decades of media coverage and consumption signals worldwide, anchoring one of the most enduring bands in music history without requiring a top-tier numerical ranking to validate his impact.[편집]

Joey Kramer is completely self-taught on drums and never took formal lessons, a fact that underscores his raw, instinctive playing style. He holds the distinction of being the first person in North America to take delivery of the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and later listed a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 on eBay in 2007. His personal life intersects with other rock legends, as one of his ex-girlfriends is the mother of Linkin Park drummer Rob Bourdon; Bourdon once received a kick pedal from Kramer as a child and drew inspiration from him. Known by the nickname "Kramedog," Kramer also owned part of a car dealership in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Among fans, the legend of Kramer as the "Bronx Backbone" remains central to his mythos, rooted in verified stories of him growing up with Steven Tyler and providing the essential rhythm that allowed the band to soar. A more contentious modern chapter involves the "Shaft" incident of 2023, where Kramer was removed from the Farewell Tour due to severe medical issues, leading to a new layer of folklore about the founding member being sidelined while the band continued with a substitute he personally paid for. Additionally, the 2020 MusiCares lawsuit became viral lore after Kramer sued to perform at the Gala only to be denied by the courts, cementing a narrative of a drumming icon fighting legally to reclaim his place on stage.[편집]
