Ciryl Gane's fanbase has no formal name. There's no 'Gane Gang' or 'Bon Gamin Army', just a loose, passionate coalition of French MMA fans who see him as the sport's pioneer in their country. His nickname 'Bon Gamin', French for 'Good Kid', is the closest thing to a rallying cry, emblazoned on his social media and tattooed on his thigh. When he headlined UFC Paris in 2022, the Accor Arena erupted for the first French heavyweight to headline a UFC card on home soil, a moment that cemented his status as a national standard-bearer. His backstory, furniture mover to interim champion in three years, fuels his everyman appeal, and his forays into French cinema (including Den of Thieves: Pantera) give fans more reasons to follow him. There are no documented fan campaigns, no coordinated billboards or charity drives; his fandom is organic, event-driven, and fiercely patriotic.

On the global fame stage, iFANN's Global Fame Engine has evaluated Ciryl Gane, but he does not currently hold a placement in the published rankings. He is not listed among the Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list. That may change: his June 2026 interim title fight at the White House against Alex Pereira drew worldwide attention, and the ensuing controversy, Pereira's accusations of illegal shots, referee Herb Dean's officiating, and Joe Rogan's explosive commentary, made headlines far beyond MMA. But as of August 2026, Gane remains unranked by iFANN's system, a notable gap for a fighter of his caliber.[편집]

Gane's nickname 'Bon Gamin' means 'Good Kid' in French, a phrase he has tattooed on his thigh. He didn't start training MMA until 2018, making his rise to UFC interim champion in just over three years exceptionally fast. Before fighting, he worked selling furniture in Paris. He played in a 2021 charity football match for UNICEF managed by Arsene Wenger, though his team lost 7-3. Gane entered to the Houston rap song 'Still Tippin'' at UFC 265, and the crowd initially booed, thinking it was opponent Derrick Lewis's walkout music. He has the highest significant strike accuracy and defense among active UFC heavyweights.

A story that fans still retell is the White House fight on June 14, 2026, when Gane faced Alex Pereira for the interim title at UFC Freedom 250, the first UFC event ever held at the White House. The fight was mired in controversy after Pereira accused Gane of illegal shots, though Pereira later clarified his anger was aimed at referee Herb Dean, not Gane. Joe Rogan added fuel to the fire, claiming Tom Aspinall 'got really f*cked over' in a related context. The fight has become Gane's most talked-about moment, cementing his reputation as a polarizing figure even as he remains one of the sport's most technically gifted heavyweights.[편집]
