Before establishing his legacy as a tight end, Kelce briefly played quarterback during his college career before transitioning to his current position. He shares a childhood history with his brother Jason involving early behavioral incidents that resulted in both being expelled from preschool for separate reasons. Their mother, Donna, was a junior Olympian in track and field, and the brothers trace their Croatian ancestry to her family roots in Brod Moravice and Velike Drage. During his collegiate years, Kelce achieved an 83.1% success rate on targeted passes, which was the highest among all active players at the time. In 2016, he hosted the E! dating show Catching Kelce, where he selected a winner from fifty contestants.
