Mairon Santos

Mairon Santos stands as a compelling figure in the modern MMA landscape, though iFANN has not yet gathered sufficient data to assign him a specific global fame ranking. While he commands a dedicated following among combat sports enthusiasts, his name has not yet crossed into the tier of universal recognition where precise ordinal placements are calculated by our algorithms. His audience, often referred to online as "Team Buzzsaw," demonstrates intense loyalty through their appreciation of his relentless pace and submission finishes, yet this group lacks a formal, documented organizational structure or unique rituals that define larger celebrity movements. Unlike veterans with decades of folklore, Santos is currently navigating the transition from rising prospect to established contender, a phase where fan engagement remains focused on fight outcomes rather than cultural mythology. The absence of a ranked position in our current database reflects this transitional status; while media outlets frequently label him a "fan favorite" and highlight his upcoming challenges against top-tier opposition like Nathaniel Wood, these descriptors signal marketability rather than a quantified level of worldwide fame. As his career progresses toward potential title shots and high-profile events like UFC Paris, his profile will undoubtedly shift, but for now, the lack of a formal fandom name or organized campaigns underscores that he is still building the historical weight required for a definitive ranking.[편집]

Before stepping into the octagon, Mairon Santos worked as a bouncer at a nightclub in Rio de Janeiro, a job that honed the physical resilience he brings to his striking today. He holds a third-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a rank he achieved at just 22 years old, and splits his training time between Nova União in Rio and American Top Team in Florida. An avid surfer, he often takes his workouts to the ocean waves when based in Brazil, and his passion extends to the football pitch as a devoted Flamengo supporter. In 2024, UFC commentator Jon Anik bestowed upon him the nickname "The Brazilian Buzzsaw" following a stunning first-round knockout that signaled his arrival on the world stage. Fans also recall his victory in The Ultimate Fighter Season 32, which cemented his status as a top prospect before his professional record climbed to 18-1-0. A notable chapter in his recent narrative involves a weight miss incident in December 2025 prior to UFC 323, an event he publicly addressed with humility, vowing to correct the mistake and turning a potential setback into a story of accountability. These moments combine with his aggressive fighting style to build a legend of a fighter who is constantly evolving under pressure.[편집]

iFANN currently estimates Mairon Santos's net worth at $875,000 as of 2026. This financial standing is built primarily on his earnings from UFC fight purses and performance bonuses. His base pay per bout has fluctuated between $30,000 and $50,000, with win bonuses effectively doubling those figures. His headlining appearance in 2025 likely generated over $100,000 in total compensation, bolstered further by a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus awarded in 2024. Beyond the cage, Santos maintains smaller sponsorship agreements with local Brazilian supplement brands and a regional fight gear company. Despite his rapid rise in the rankings, there are no public records of real estate holdings or reported external investments, keeping his wealth closely tied to his active fighting career.[편집]
