The New Legends of Monkey에서 주연을 맡고 2016년부터 2018년까지 Shadowhunters에서 조던 카일 역할을 하며 판타지 장르에서의 입지를 굳혔다.

Chai Hansen has built a loyal following that moves quietly but deeply, anchored in the genre communities of his major sci-fi and fantasy projects. Fans who discovered him as a merman on Netflix or watching him navigate the gritty landscapes of *The 100* and *Shadowhunters* have kept his career trajectory in focus for over a decade. While he does not command a singular, branded fandom with its own rituals or campaign infrastructure, his audience remains tightly woven into the broader fanbases of the shows that defined his early stardom. These viewers appreciate his athletic physicality and the way he transforms minor roles into narrative anchors, often engaging through standard social media channels rather than organized fan clubs. His recent work in high-stakes thrillers like *Play Dirty* and *Watching You* has introduced him to new demographics without fracturing his existing core. Despite his global reach across streaming platforms in the US, UK, and Australia, Hansen maintains an understated public image that keeps the spotlight firmly on his characters. This grounded approach has allowed him to sustain relevance without the noise of viral celebrity culture. As his profile rises in international markets, the iFANN Global Fame Rankings continue to track his growing influence among Thai-Australian talent and genre enthusiasts worldwide. Chai Hansen is currently the 59th most famous person from Thailand, a position holding steady in the latest cycle of data.[편집]

Before stepping onto film sets, Hansen dominated the track as a teenager, shattering triple jump records in both Australian and Canadian competitions. He later channeled that discipline into performance arts, earning a scholarship to the DLDC School of Performing Arts before joining the street theatre company *Beat The Streets*. His acting career took off when a small part in *Mako Mermaids* expanded into a key storyline, establishing him as a reliable lead in fantasy television. Hansen holds dual Thai-Australian citizenship, frequently drawing on his multicultural heritage to inform his complex character portrayals. He also lent his voice to characters in the *Dead Moon Circus* projects, showcasing versatility beyond live-action roles. In October 2025, his performance in the crime thriller *Play Dirty* sparked significant discussion among UK audiences, though no specific viral legends or crowd-disrupting moments have become folklore surrounding these appearances. Similarly, while his role in *Night Sky* garnered critical praise, it did not spawn any widely retold myths or iconic incidents that define his public legacy. The actor remains known for professional dedication rather than eccentric public behavior or fan-driven campaigns.[편집]

Per iFANN's editorial analysis, Chai Hansen's net worth sits at $2 Million as of 2026. This figure reflects a steady accumulation of earnings from his extensive work in television and film. His income stems primarily from series regular salaries on productions like *The Newsreader*, where actors on streaming platforms typically command between $50,000 and $100,000 per episode. Additional revenue comes from feature films such as *Night Sky* released in 2022 and leading roles in recent projects like *Play Dirty*. Over the past few years, his financial standing has grown consistently as he secured more substantial parts in high-profile dramas and sci-fi series. No major endorsement deals or external business ventures appear in public records, meaning his wealth is derived almost entirely from on-screen work and residuals from his earlier successes. This trajectory mirrors the path of many mid-tier actors who transition from ensemble casts to lead roles, with estimates based on career data up to 2026 showing gradual increases from his initial breakthrough on Netflix.[편집]
