Roman @rodotfun IN THE TRENCHES EP. 74

Roman drops a hard take on how most people approach buying tokens, and honestly the technical analysis part barely registers for him. He points out that trying to find uniqueness through charts is a losing game because every single token has its own structure and runs differently from the rest. The real edge isn't in the lines on a screen but in knowing who holds the right assets and understanding the basic fundamentals underneath it all. He says you have to spend enough time staring at coins and watching the charts develop some kind of gut feeling just to spot something different before anyone else does. There's this whole idea that if you see a solid narrative and actually have valid reasons why something can run without lying to yourself, then you should just buy it regardless of what the technicals say. It comes down to the fact that so many coins are willing to drop all the way to zero and stay there for a week or even just a day or two before they suddenly go back up again. That volatility is the reality you're dealing with when you're trying to figure out which projects are worth the risk.

I mean, uniqueness is, from a technical analysis standpoint, not very much, you know, because there's so many different tokens, so many different things, and, you know, they all run in different ways. from a technical analysis standpoint, not so much. More just like uniqueness, the right holders, obviously. Honestly, it's basic things for me. And I think it's also intuition. You have to look at enough coins, spend enough time watching the charts and watching all these things to see something different. I know that you've said that uh ta on meme coins is a joke yeah and I get that I mean I I do understand that perspective um are you are you watching the chart at all for anything or is it just kind of like it's just there as peripheral and it's just it's just there as peripheral like like I I think if you see a narrative and and and you have to you know what I'm you do have to have experience in order to do something like this. But like, you know, you see a narrative. I'd say like, fuck the chart. You just, if you think it's good and you have enough reasons why it can run for real and you're not convincing yourself of that, then you buy it because, you know, so many coins do like, you know, the ups down to zero. They'll, you know, hold for a week and then go back up or even a day or two go back up.
