The security situation stays tense and ongoing after armed clashes erupted starting this morning in the Cidasa-Kasika area of the CHIEFTAINCY OF LWINDI. Multiple residents have been displaced by the fighting that broke out in the Mwenga territory, specifically within the RDC/SUD-KIVU region. FARDC forces are engaging elements identified as AFC-M23 while additional fighting was reported near the village of Kaulile inside the same chieftaincy. The combat has already forced people to flee their homes in the Lwindi area.
