Here at Laika, the whole idea was to create a place driven by artists that told stories in a very unique and distinctive visual way. Coraline is very special because it was the first film that we ever made. Working specifically in stop motion, you can literally see the hands of the artists at work, bringing something to life, a frame at a time. frame at a time. Everything you see is handmade and has been crafted by somebody. Whoa. I knew it was real. When Laika first started, there was this idea that we could blend technology and science and art and craft together in a way that hadn't ever really been done before. Every crew member, every cast member, continues to add to the overall sophistication and depth of each one of these films. Thank you. It's very challenging to tell stories in this manner, but things that used to feel like they were virtually impossible back on Coraline, now we do as a matter of course. I can't believe you did this. And that all led us to the film that we're currently in production on now, Wildwood, which is the most expansive, the most ambitious, the most epic film we ever done Look The Bandit King of Wildwood. At a time when entire worlds can be built with a click of a mouse and videos generated from a prompt, choosing to make a stop-motion film feels like a quiet act of rebellion. A long time ago, we were proud and majestic people. Now they call us bandits. When I see people connect emotionally with these characters, knowing it's a puppet, it's a lifeless, inert thing made of steel and silicon and plastic, what they're really connecting with is the animator giving life to them. To me, that's magic. It really is this huge collaborative medium that's so exciting, and inspiring, Wildwood is by far the most challenging thing that we've ever taken on. And I think it's going to be the most beautiful thing that we've ever done. Hello. Oh, you're a brave wee thing, aren't you?
