Nolan Wells' family is still waiting on the full story. Mississippi's State Medical Examiner has classified the 18-year-old's cause and manner of death as undetermined. He'd gone out on a Fourth of July boating trip with friends and never came back. Two days after he disappeared, his body was recovered near Horn Island. The autopsy found a pair of marks near the base of his skull, but how they got there couldn't be established. There was also nothing in his lungs' airways, no fluid, no debris, which complicates the drowning explanation. That said, an absence of water doesn't definitively rule drowning out. A grand jury declined to file criminal charges and concluded the evidence aligned with drowning. His family keeps pushing for answers about what happened to him
