María Corina Machado three attempts Venezuela

Three times in 24 hours María Corina Machado tried to get back into Venezuela. Three times it did not happen. Journalist Idania Chirinos confirmed the attempts from NTN24 in Panama. One was meant to be by sea, two by air. The boat transfer out of Panama never set sail, stopped by mechanical failures. Then a private flight toward Aruba, takeoff not authorized. Then Curaçao, same private aircraft, same refusal, and on that leg she carried a Panamanian diplomatic passport. Venezuelan authorities control the airspace, the immigration posts and the airports, and they are the ones behind the restrictions. Pressure is also coming from the White House on Panama not to ease her departure toward Venezuela. She holds no valid Venezuelan passport, so the regular channels are closed to her too. Her position is that going back is not a personal matter. She calls it a necessity, to accompany Venezuelans. She is in Panama City. Delcy Rodríguez, interim president, has traveled to New York for the UN General Assembly, with a meeting alongside US President Donald Trump expected there. Washington is not supporting Machado's return at this moment. Its priority is understanding with Delcy Rodríguez. The Venezuelan regime has closed or restricted routes and threatened those who help her entry.
