Mohamed Ali Riksdag Sweden election fraud

Sweden is investigating a possible election fraud by Somali networks, with the threat of a re-vote in one district that could shift the mandate distribution from 175:174 in favor of the right-wing coalition. 30-year-old Somali Mohamed Abdulkarir Ali, who received citizenship this year, unexpectedly garnered 648 votes and was elected to parliament for the Left Party. In Bullängen, suspicions of fraud are being investigated: police monitored individuals distributing money to the Somali community along with already filled-in ballots bearing his name. He speaks very little Swedish and lived with a man, presumably a relative, linked to a gang involved in shootings in Sweden. With virtually no income, he nonetheless regularly flew to Somalia for meetings with authorities, attempting to sell electronic banking and voting technologies.
