UN Secretary-General António Guterres has called for a ban on autonomous “killer robots,” warning that AI must not be allowed to make life-or-death decisions. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Guterres said machines should not be given the authority to independently decide who lives or dies. He stressed that humans must remain responsible for decisions involving the use of lethal force.
