Bitcoin up 17.5% as regulators move

Bitcoin gained 17.5% this month, and the Crypto Clarity Act still didn't make it through Congress. The Senate declined to move the bill forward on September 15. Regulators then acted on their own timeline: On September 17, the SEC issued a temporary exemption for tokenized stocks, opening the door to a limited amount of on-chain trading. That same day, the CFTC said developers can build passive derivatives software for crypto markets without registering as brokers. By September 18, the CFTC had filed new rulemaking covering crypto transactions and markets.
