2026 US BoxOffice just blew past $7.5B, topping the whole of 2022 ($7.4B) and sitting +9.1% ahead of 2023 plus +19.7% over 2025 at this point, all while ResidentEvil gets credit for the surge. Universal leads YTD with $1.44B, Sony holds second at $1.26B, Disney ranks third with $1.05B, AmazonMGM sits fourth at $557.3M, and Lionsgate rounds out the top five with $518.6M.
