Robert Downey Jr. actually showed up for Jamie Foxx's daughter's birthday back in October 2013, and the story starts with a four-year-old asking her dad if he knew Iron Man. She demanded, "Daddy, don't you know Iron Man? Can't you hook it up? It's my birthday." Foxx reached out to RDJ via text just one day before the event, and the response was immediate: "Is 12:00 noon good?" Even after that confirmation, Foxx wasn't convinced Downey would actually make it, so he invited other guests as well. When the actor arrived early with a massive haul of Iron Man toys specifically for the kids, Foxx tried to rush him, assuming he had other obligations. Downey simply reassured him, saying, "Dude, here's the deal, I'm here, don't worry about it."
