An anime second season is in the works for Mokumoku Ren's horror mystery The Summer Hikaru Died, which wraps up its run in two chapters. The story follows two close friends living in a village where one boy gets swapped out by an entity that only looks like him. Despite knowing the truth, the remaining friend stays close to the replacement because of the desire to remain near them.
