U.S. Navy Strait of Hormuz claim

The idea that the U.S. Navy secretly dredged a bypass corridor in the Strait of Hormuz to escape Iranian control is almost certainly false, according to analysis by CIG on Telegram and writer Mhedi. While a narrow passage exists between Oman's Musandam Peninsula and Jazirat island, it only offers minor distance savings for large oil tankers rather than a strategic escape. Ships using this route would still remain entirely within Iran's strike range involving missiles and drones before they could even reach the area. The proposed corridor does not allow vessels to avoid waters exposed to Iranian weaponry, meaning the so-called safe corridor is not actually safe. Zooming out reveals the geographic reality: no matter how much land is moved, the military vulnerability remains because the route never clears the waters where Iranian forces can fire.
