Reuters says the Gulf states are pouring money into alternate transport routes because of the Iran war and the chance the Strait of Hormuz gets shut down. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Iraq are all beefing up their ports and pipelines so they're not so dependent on that one chokepoint.
