Chris Jericho addressed the reasoning behind his decision to remain with AEW. When considering a return, he weighed various options and factors. The element that ultimately clinched the choice was having skin in the game within the promotion. Jericho helped start AEW and noted that if there was no Chris Jericho, there might not have been an AEW. There certainly was not one before him. He pointed out that there was a WWE before Chris Jericho. There was a New Japan before. There was a CMLL before. He acknowledged there will be an AEW after Jericho leaves. He wants to see how much bigger the company gets over the next 10 years. Ultimately, he likes working for Tony. Jericho and Tony had to work some things out, which they did.
