Melissa Barrera got real about being blacklisted from Hollywood on a podcast called Melissa Barrera's Big Year: From Broadway to Hollywood. She called it hard to comprehend but not some new phenomenon, plenty of people got dropped just for stating Palestinians deserve human rights and shouldn't be bombed or attacked. It's sad, she said, that power and money interests can override caring about lives, and that there's a whole effort to silence anyone saying people deserve to live, kids deserve to grow up. Still, she feels the tide has turned, with more folks seeing things for what they are, even if they resisted at first.
