Rie Takahashi's role as Emilia in 'Re:Zero' almost didn't happen. Producer Sho Tanaka initially only cast her as Megumin in 'KONOSUBA,' but after hearing her performance, he believed she would be perfect for a healing-type character. She ultimately ended up voicing both roles.
