David Ellison Paramount WB acquisition DOJ approved

It's official! The Department of Justice has approved Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. The Antitrust Division greenlit David Ellison's $111 billion takeover of PSKY over WBD without requiring any divestitures, behavioral remedies, or concessions. This means none of the companies will have to sell off any divisions to complete the merger, as the DOJ determined it does not pose a threat to competition. The merger still needs clearance in every country where both companies operate, but the DOJ's approval is likely to be followed elsewhere.
