Idris Elba has addressed the long-running rumors about him becoming James Bond. He says they were never legit. “I’ve always felt that it’s not a realistic thing. James Bond was written how he was written for a reason.” Elba added that while he was flattered by the speculation, he believed some of it went too far and created false hope among fans over the years. He emphasized that the character has a specific background and history that should be respected in any future casting decisions.
