Don’t hit continue after an hour away from your coding agent. The session cache dies at exactly 60 minutes, so that first message back has to rebuild everything from scratch. Compared to working uninterrupted: coffee break is 1.3x, a call 1.6x, lunch 13x. A brand‑new session costs 4.5x, still better than reviving a dead one. Before you walk off, ask it to “summarize where we are.” Then paste that summary into a fresh window after lunch. Measured over 110 sessions and 46,580 turns of my own Claude Code. #ClaudeCode #AI
