DHS just dropped a mandate for mandatory random audits of paper ballots during the 2026 midterm elections because of massive vulnerabilities to tampering and foreign or Chinese involvement in machines according to Just the News. These vulnerabilities mean that malicious actors could potentially compromise election infrastructure at any stage of the supply chain even before the machines are assembled or deployed. If a component is tampered with during manufacturing it could serve as a point-of-entry for hackers allowing for the possibility of synchronized attacks across multiple machines and jurisdictions. With Secretary Lutnik we are going to make our security enhancements mandatory meaning if these states want a grant and they want to be reimbursed to run federal elections they're going to have to implement security issues. Just security issues. We're not trying to get into anything else but we're saying that the machines have to be secured and that your voter registration list needs to be scrubbed. We need to make sure that individuals that are legally able to vote are voting.
